Spasi Sofia is working on a single standard for audio-visual information in the city subway as well as in the ground public transport. Currently, new signage has been placed in all metrostations – the so-called Station Count signs at the entrances, in 2 trains the subway operator has placed new metro maps based on design by us, the newest metrostation Vitosha is entirely equipped with signage based on our proposal for new visual standard in the whole subway. Another input from our side are the new signs showing when the next train is coming, implemented in stations Serdika and Sofia University. However, the chosen version by Metropolitan differs significantly from our project and needs improvement. Our co-operation with the subway operator continues in an effort to improve the information provided by Metropolitan to all the 300 000 passengers that use the Sofia metro each day.
In regards to the ground urban transport, we are in contact with the city transport operator – Sofia Urban Mobility Centre for implementing our proposal for a new visual standard in the buses, the trolleys and the trams in the city.
